    3. I noticed that Matilda was 10 years old and born in TN, so checked the 1860 Census index of TN and found this family. Now its just an index, so don't have all the info: F. H. Edwards, age 28 Mary C. age 27 William A. age 4 John M. age 2 Adlia M, age 1 they were listed O-1-93 and I believe that is Obion County, family #1, page 93 With that in mind I checked the marriage books and found Franklin H. Edwards married Mary Elizabeth Wright on 12-7-1853 in Obion County, TN From the different census records Mary is Mary C, Mary E. and Mary B. which could be errors in reading the old handwriting. BROMLEY (found online), then married Dec. 1880 Monroe County Arkansas near Brinkley to John ALMOND. Callie had a sister, Martha HOUSE, born GA about 1857, known to my mother as Aunt Mattie PUGH. Finding Mother's notes now makes sense to me a bit of the various PUGH references in my great grandmother's memorabelia. Martha HOUSE, known as Mattie, married William D. PUGH and they lived in Monroe County, AR. I think he died 1929 (AR Death Index) and that Mattie died 1936 living in St. Francis County ....where he occupation had been merchandising (so perhaps worked in a grocery or department store) ... I was able to track Fred PUGH, a son, from AR to OK in 1910, whre I found his WWI Draft REgistration. He was married I think first to Ruby, then to Dorothy. He had a son Jack PUGH born in OK. In 1920 he is in Jacksonville, Florida, and 1930 in Henderson County, Athens, TX ....he was in the Cotton Seed Oil business and held the position of superintendent in his various jobs. There were other children born to Wm. D. PUGH and Mattie / Martha HOUSE PUGH ....among them, William, Leander, Katie, Ira, and Noel D. Regarding Mattie's sister, Callie HOUSE BROMBLEY (BRUMLEY, BROMLEY, BRUMLY, etc.) ....the only child I found was Ollie ....perhaps born to BRUMLEY) before her marriage to John ALMAN / ALLMAN / ALMOND. She lived for awhile in Monroe County AR, and I think probably died in Jackson County AR. Hoping somebody has more information on descendants of these two HOUSE sisters in their marriages.
