Wilma, I am not really interested in the photo of the people but I would very much like to know where the Hurricane farm was exactly located using highways and smaller roads and any other identifiers. Hi, My mother Dollie Summers Shelton died last October and in her box of pictures that I received is a small picture and on the back its Lists 1. Robert Ballew 2. Essie Crawford 3. Agustia Louis 4. Hazle Taylor 5. Eutha Rollor I know these people were mom's neighbors when she was growing up on the Hurricane farm close to Grubbs as she took my brother, sister and myself a couple of years ago back to that place and showed us where everyone used to live and told us some stories that we had never heard before. We pulled up in the Crawford's homeplace and there was an old shed out to the back and she told us that it was a two story home at one time and that she lived there. She said that she and her mother had hung pink flowered wall paper on the walls. We walked into the shed and lo and behold the wall paper was still hanging there. Yes, I have a piece of that wall paper right here next to my computer. It is no longer pink but it is flowered and at one time was pink. If anyone wants a copy of this picture, I have it scanned into my computer and will email it to you but you will need a magnifiying glass to get a good view of it. The siblings are possibly Elvira and Daniel. The parents died and the children were "adopted" out to neighbors. Elvira is listed on the 1870 Village Township census with a Fowler family and Daniel is listed as an orphan on the same census with a Truman family. Elmira Mendoza Kelly was born June 20, 1844 and Married Stephen Warren White November 17, 1870. She is listed with a Robinson family on the 1870 Villiage Township census, (next door to Stephen and his first wife) I have heard from relatives that up to WWII that Elmira received some kind of paments from the English government. They were married in 1903 in Jackson Co, AR. They had three children: George, Robert, & Essie Lee. Essie stayed in AR and the boys moved to MI. Sarah is listed as widowed by 1920 and is still living in Jackson Co. Any information on this family would be greatly appreciated.

She was killed by a man she and her husband, Andrew, were staying with. She was helping him run a store. The owner killed her one day while Andrew was away. The story may have been run in a mystery/detective magazine years ago. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
