They were in the 1880 census for Craighead Co. Marmelle Township. I need help on the Herron family and Samuel. He was born in Mississippi. CLAY CO OBIT Died March 12, 1990 JOHN ARLESS FERGUSON, 77 of Newport, a retired construction worker, died Monday. Survivors are two sons, Dean Ferguson of St. Louis, James Ferguson of Independence, MO.; five daughters, Mildred Mason of Benton, Doris Deniston of St. Louis, Melba Lanier of Henderson, KY. Lorene Araiza of Long Beach, Calif., Peggy Ferguson of Rector(Clay Co.); a brother Wilbur Ferguson of McRae; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A private graveside service will be held in Antioch Cemetery in Beebe. Arrangements are by W.L. Westbrook Funeral Home of Beebe.
