He was buried in the cemetary under a big tree by the side of the road. Since then the road has been widened so we may not be able to find his grave. The cemetery is just outside of Tuckerman on what Dad and Mom called the "Hurricane" I don't know why it was called that. By the way how are you related to me or are you. Zellah Woody Anderson

Will, Beaulah, Mack, Eleanor, Marie, Vera, and Eva Murphy Moon. There were some Brewers here a few years ago. He was a preacher at Murphy's Chapel Assembly of God. There were some Hamms in Grubbs, Arkansas. Randy Hamm was a principal or superintendent of the school there. He died a few years ago. He was very young. His parents I think are still living. I think his father is a professor at ASU. I don't know this as a fact, it just seems that I have heard this somewhere. Also there was a Guthrie who was superintendent in the Tuckerman school. I think he lives in Melbourne now. There are some Ballews around Alicia and Walnut Ridge or in Lawerence County. Hope this helps some.

Hi James and other listers: Just wondering if you are related to any of the following Jones' John Thomas "Tom" Jones b. Jackson Cty, AR 24 Oct 1861 and d. Newport, Jackson Cty, AR 8 Aug 1946. Buried Airbase Cemetery. Married twice 1st to a Parnell then to Annie Unknown, Annie was only 52 when he died at almost 85 yrs. His fathers name was also John, he was also married to a Parnell, Nancy. "Tom" had four known children: Albert Jones b. 10 Jun 1905 d. 5 Mar 1966; buried Walnut Grove Cemetery, Newport, AR. Married Sarah Manuel. They had 10 children 9 boys (one named James :) and 1 girl. Most still living in Newport area. Dewey Jones (My grandfather) b. 3 Mar 1908 d. 6 Jul 1934 buried Airbase Cemetery. Struck by lightening. He married Sarah Manuel's half sister Hester Ellen McGinnis. They had two children, my father Lesley Thomas "Tom" Jones b. 3 Apr 1932 d. 18 Jul 1990. And Rose Ann Jones, living. Two daughters - Fanny and Nanny. One of the girls married a Rawliegh; correct spelling unsure, believe she stayed in area perhaps living between Grubbs and Cash. Other one married unknown and moved to CA. I ask because my dad (Lesley Thomas "Tom" Jones) always told me we were related to the Hall's. However I have not found the connection. As you can guess, the Jones family is not easy to research!!! Would appreciate any information anyone has on this family. Thank You, Alma Jones Luper ----- Original Message ----- From: "James Jones" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Saturday, October 13, 2001 5:50 PM Subject: [ARJACKSO] G. She spoke lovingly about him until she passed away a few years ago. Her Great Granddaughter (my niece) married a Fivecoat from Tuckerman, Jackson County, AR many years later. They are now divorced but have to beautiful daughters. I have some limited information on the family in my research. If anyone is interested, I'll look-up what I have and share. Alma

The names seem to be interchangeable in Jackson Co., as evidenced by the 1952 obituary I found today and posted earlier. You would have to do two separate searches to pull all the Fivecoat/Fivecoats members up, as Joe is listed as Fivecoat in the cemetery records, and Venia is listed as Fivecoats.
