Hello, Several years ago, someone responded to one of my queries and told me that my great-uncle, George "Sanford" KIDDER, had died in Arizona in 1966. I am not able to find my notes from back then, and I wondered if anyone could find this record again. I am curious which town or city he died in, and about the exact date. "Sanford" KIDDER was born in Winchester, MA, in 1904. At the time of his mother's death in Winchester in 1958, he wrote to say he was in Riverside, CA. I am also curious whether he had moved to Arizona from California between 1958 and 1966, or whether he was visiting Arizona at the time of his death. His death is not showing up in the SSDI records. And, I just did a "search" for "Arizona deaths" and did not find his death mentioned that way either (on "free" sites). Thank you for your time. Betty (near Lowell, MA)

Patricia was born abt 1960 to Santiago Navia (my uncle) and Herta Hertl. My uncle was stationed near Selb with the U.S. Army at that time. He lost contact when he was shipped back to the U.S. mainland. According to relatives, Patricia attempted to find her father (my uncle) in the USA (Hawaii and California) the early 1990's. She was able to make contact with family members who are now deceased, but did not make contact with her father, so we (her cousins, aunts and uncles) have no contact info for her. Any info or direction would be appreciated. Our (her) family website is at http://www.gasper-kealawaiole.net
Hello Everyone: Those of you who are working on your lines back to your 1600s American Ancestors will find the 1600s Ancestors Data Base to be of great help. I have recently posted several hundred new Ancestors to the Data Base bringing the total to over 29,000 entries both men and women. Also listed are several National Societies who have proven many of the Ancestors you will find here. There are also a few new Reference Works that contain many more lines. The entries are coded to indicate to which Society or Reference Work has at least one of their proven lines. Several of the National Societies have over 20 different lines from a single Ancestor. WHEN YOU ENTER THE 1600s ANCESTORS DATA BASE be sure to look at the top of each data page for the link that takes you to the "Data Base Information Page". There you will find the list of codes and how to use them. This is MUST reading if you are to understand the Data Base and how to use it. We are constantly updating the Data Base with Additional Ancestors and references as time permits. More work has been devoted to updating listings of the female Ancestors by going back and including marriage dates. This takes much time and we still have a lot of work to do there. You will find the 1600s Ancestor Data Base at; http://www.firstfamilies.org/db/ For those of you who are AOL members you may have trouble connecting to many pages that may come up with a message such as "Page Does Not Exist" and you should cure that by using your browser feature of Copy and Paste the URL to your browser and pressing your enter key. Everyone has free access to the Data Base and to all our posted pages. Enjoy and Happy Hunting Ryan Jackson Data Base Manager America's First Families

Juvanne- I tried to respond to your request but it was rejected by some kind of spam blocker on your email that is rejecting messages and wants me to fill out some kind of form or application for your approval. lol and to add insult to injury the link to the form is broke. i am not sure you really want any responses to your request as it seems no emails will be accepted by your email program except those you know.

Since Bill S-18 has passed Second Reading and is now in Committee, I have had many queries re census petitions from other than Canadians. The following may be forwarded. ====== People with ancestors in Canada in 1911 are invited to send a Non-Resident petition --- the signatures will be YOUR voice in Ottawa. We all want to know our heritage -- and when Bill S-18 is passed, it will guarantee releases of all census records from 1911 to 2001. One of the best online sites is http://www.globalgenealogy.com/Census/index.htm [also in French] Here one will find downloadable petitions, scoreboards of HOW the politicians think about census release, Hansard (daily records), Bill S-18, and much, much more. The Non-Resident petition is for usage outside of Canada. We also have a Canada Census Committee -- try to find the Americans http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~downhome/committee.html At last count, there are eight! [If interested, contact me, please] View http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~downhome/post1901census.htm Many editorials -- some dating back to 1999 -- but still important and with same sense of feeling. The Non-Resident petitions are now acceptable and may be used as the Second Reading stage has been reached -- we still have Third Reading. Looking forward to petitions -- see your Legion/Veteran branches -- 2005 has been designated The Year of the Veteran. Also May 8th is the 60th Anniversary of VE-Day [VJ-Day in August] plus many who served in WWI were listed on the 1911 census. The above may be forwarded, all or part, to any list other than in Canada, even then one might find a list I do not know about. The 1901 and 1906 Canadian census are online at http://automatedgenealogy.com/index.html Muriel M.
