James "Wadge" Owens was my gg-grandfather. His son, John C. Owens, was my g-grandfather. John married Martha Nimmo and their youngest son, Teddie Thomas Owens, is my grandfather. Grandpa married Carrie Dockins. There son, Thomas Junior Owens is my father. I have a lot of information on James "Wadge" and Asenith Chase Owens' family. What I'm looking for is information on his parents, James and Priscilla Waldrop Owens. They were married 1837 in Rutherford County, NC. I think that James may have been married prior to Priscilla Waldrop. Some researchers have at least three children born prior to 1837. The names of the children were David, Armanda, and Edmund Govan Owens. I think that there maybe at least 2 other children unaccounted in my research. Edmund Govan seems to be a common name in the Waldrop family so he may be a son born prior to marriage or at the time of marriage. Most of this is just pure speculation but I still suspect some of it maybe true. Any help would be appreciated.
