Hi Vera, Thanks for looking in your book. I appreciate it. What is the name of the book? Interestingly the file that The Arkansas History Commission sent me does not list Lee Redman's death date. What you sent does. Maybe I did not get all of the pages. I did ask for the complete file, though. It is also strange that the widow's pension file does not have any notification of Laura Ann (Jones) Redman's death either. I would think that they would have been notified and that it should be part of the file. Ancestry.com has Lee Redman's death date on two different Civil War listings. Maybe I'll call the courthouse to see if they have a probate index. Thanks again. Lee Anne Vera Reeves wrote: I have a book: Arkansas Confederate Veterans and Widows Pension Applications. Her grave is in the Old Liberty Ceme6tery in Izard Co. AR. Apparently on 13 September 1907, the month before she died, Tom Allen, the Clerk of the Courts clerk and Recorder, wrote a letter to whoever issued her Civil War pension check that the amount was wrong and had to be corrected. So if she had money coming for September and October, there would have had to be heirs named to receive it and probably probate to determine who they were and disseminate it. Hi Vera, In your book would you please check for a widow of Daniel Boone White. We have info that he died in 1863 in Civil War of complications from measles. Widow's name is Mahala. All info says her maiden name was White, too. She supposedly died in 1881 in Arkansas. I have a number and don't know where I found it of 407403?? Supposedly a file but I don't have a copy of that file. I think they would be connected to Madison County, Arkansas. His father was Daniel Donah (maybe Donahue?)White and he died much later in Montague County, Texas. Thanks Pat Foster
