    3. Hi: Last week I had occasion to visit our local Family History Center here in Hemet, CA. I asked about Ancestry.com and the person there indicated that LDS now holds 40% share of Ancestry.com. Yes, if you find something on the familysearch site they may refer you to ancestry.com to join for purchase of the item. Mostly census records were involved. However, a couple of libraries in the area (where budgets permit) have limited access to the Library version of Ancestry.com. While using one of these, I was able to find the particular census record and print there or there is a feature where you can e-mail it to your home computer, save and print using your own paper and toner. Copies are 20 cents a page at the library but are also worth it. Not sure how many libraries are well funded enough to pay for the Ancestry.com Library edition - it is limited but helpful. Hope this answers some questions. Pauline Harris Schwarz

    3. Thanks Pauline,   Our library here in Thousand Oaks also has Ancestry available and also Heritage Quest.  I found alot of marriage records on my Woodcock family yesterday.  If your library has Heritage quest you can also ascess the library version from home using your library card.. Glad to help when I can. 3. Found out from our librarian that ANC charges per how many individuals live in the area, so no library pays the same amount. I think my library pays nearly 12000 a year for ANC, not sure what HQ costs them. And I thought my dues were high, oops. gen --- On Fri, 6/22/12, betty hutson <[email protected]> wrote: > From: betty hutson <[email protected]> > Subject: Re: [ARIZARD] Concerning Ancestry > To: [email protected], [email protected] > Date: Friday, June 22, 2012, 12:59 AM > Thanks Pauline, >   > Our library here in Thousand Oaks also has Ancestry > available and also Heritage Quest.  I found alot of > marriage records on my Woodcock family yesterday.  If your > library has Heritage quest you can also ascess the library > version from home using your library card.. > Glad to help when I can. > Betty H. > > --- On Wed, 6/20/12, Pauline Schwarz <[email protected]> > wrote: > > > From: Pauline Schwarz <[email protected]> > Subject: [ARIZARD] Concerning Ancestry > To: [email protected] > Date: Wednesday, June 20, 2012, 2:31 PM > > > Hi: > > Last week I had occasion to visit our local Family History > Center here in Hemet, CA.  I asked about Ancestry.com and > the person there indicated that > LDS now holds 40% share of Ancestry.com.  Yes, if you find > something on the familysearch site they may refer you to > ancestry.com to join for purchase of the item. > Mostly census records were involved.
