Hello Ethel: I have the Iz. Co. Historian in front of me and I'm looking at the picture and write-up on Ray Ewell Davis (1901-1985). I think I may be able to find other articles that he wrote, in some of the old Historians. I have an Index to all of the Izard County Historians (I think there were just a few printed, and I have one) so I can look for more stories about the Davis family. In fact, I have a little Book entitled Down Memory Lane which my cousin and I did several years ago and we interviewed Mrs. Nina Davis Blair (sister to Ray Ewell Davis) and I will make copies of it and it will give you a lot of the Davis genealogy. I will try to get some of this done and snail mail to you maybe Monday. Please give me your mailing address. I knew Mrs. Nina Davis Blair all my life. She was what I would call "one of the pillars" of the United Methodist Church here in Melbourne where she attended and I have always attended church there (still do). She was a very good Christian lady. She has a dau. living here, who is in the Nursing Home; she is about 80, or 81. Mrs. Nina was from a pretty good sized family. Her dad and mother lived on a farm (at Larkin) which was across the road from my in-laws. I know they tie into the Kercheval family. If you have any questions, I will try to answer them.
