June, Thank you very much for the information about Samuel Hale Billingsley's marriage information and how Manerva relates to you. Since you listed a ? for her death and I thought you might like a date or a way to find one, I checked to see if there might be a death record for her in Tulsa, Oklahoma, since the excerpt from the Billingsley book (see below) said that she was alive in 1931 and lived there with her son. I found the information below in case it helps you. http://www.tulsagenealogy.org/library/FHI-text/B2.txt Tulsa Funeral Home Records of Tulsa, Oklahoma published by the Tulsa Genealogical Society 6447 BILLINGSLEY Minerva Vol 1:23 Samuel Hale Billingsley definitely does relate. He was the son of Joshua (b. 11 Nov 1820). Joshua was one of the sons of (Judge) Samuel Billingsley (about whom I posted) and wife 1) Ruth Hale. My great-grandfather Milton Franklin Billingsley was also a son of (Judge) Samuel Billingsley and Elizabeth Lewis. Milton Franklin Billingsley's daughter Cora Ann Billingsley was my grandmother. I did not know to photograph Samuel Hale Billingsley's headstone in Robert's Cemetery when I was there in 2002. But I did photograph the headstones of Samuel Billingsley, Elizabeth, Milton Franklin Billingsley, Martha Elizabeth (Bates) Billingsley (Mattie), Scott (son of Milton Franklin Billingsley), and the brother and sister-in-law John N. and Harriet (Oldfield) Bates. I posted all except Elizabeth's headstone on arkansasgravestones. I did not post Elizabeth's because I wasn't sure which Elizabeth she was. Her headstone was pretty much unreadable. I could barely make out Elizabeth. The headstone was one of several that were behind Samuel's. Wow! That was 10 years ago. Time flies. June, I hope the Minerva / Manerva listed is the right one, but it probably is. I hope a copy of the original record helps. If it does, I have another suggestion. Lee Anne
