My GGGF John Ott, who later moved to North Central Arkansas homesteaded land on 5 Aug 1837 in Clay County Indiana. The records show he got 38.88 Acres. The legal for the land was NE SW, Section 7, Township 10 North, Range 6 West. I am not able to find a map on-line that would show me where that land was located. I have visited the area but was hoping some day I could identify the exact land. I know it was close to the Eel River. When I last visited most of the land was a huge corn field. Any one have an idea where I might find a map? I have communicated with the Clay County Genealogy Group and they don't know. Thanks Don Ott
