James Oliver Jeffery, son of Jesse and Mary Langston Jeffery, was married to Mary "Polly" Smith, and had children: Jesse, Amy, Annie and William Beniah "Ben" Jeffery. Have no clue as to the census mix-up, other than perhaps he was visiting his parents home one day, and the census taker arrived at the other home another. I have the same problem with my husbands family in Ohio, he was counted twice in the same county by the same enumerator all with in 3 days of each other. He was counted in his own home and then 3 days later in the home of a relative along with all his kids, so his whole family went visiting. Took me a bit to figure that all out, have run across that a couple of other times too.
