I didn't watch Clash of the Ozarks, but reading the posts about it made me think of a different show from the past Evening Shade (see http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0098790/) made in 1990-1994, with Burt Reynolds, Mary Lou Henner, Hal Holbrook, Charles Durning, Ossie Davis, Michael Jeter and others. The best I can remember it was something like Mayberry RFD, and had a comic side to it. The "Clash" had no comedy; had sorry actors; belittled everyone in the area.
