Jean, My latest HIGHTOWER connection was my gggrandmother, Mary Jane, who was the subject of my original post. Mary Jane married William P. JACOBS 23 Dec 1855 in Izard Co. I'm descended from their oldest son, William Mathias JACOBS and Martha Elizabeth HARRIS. Matt, Elizabeth and all their children moved to Oklahoma then to California in the early 1900's. There may be some descendants of William P. and Mary Jane still in Arkansas. Elizabeth HARRIS was the daughter of Silas Randolph HARRIS and Susan M. PAUL, both died and buried in Fulton Co. I'm sure some of my distant HARRIS cousins are still in AR. Mary Jane HIGHTOWER JACOBS died 24 Mar 1909 and is buried in Oxford Cemetery. John S.
