    3. M. Mozell Floyd Post a commentPrint By The Wenatchee World Staff Wednesday, October 6, 2010 On Monday, October 4, 2010, our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother walked the stairs to Heaven. She was a member of Kings Orchard Church of Christ in Wenatchee. M. Mozell (Montgomery) Floyd was born to John Homer and Nancy Elizabeth Montgomery on January 28, 1928, in Newburg, AR. She married Junior Floyd on September 20, 1947, in Melbourne, AR. They came to Moxee City, WA in 1954, and moved to Rock Island, WA in 1958. She was a homemaker and a fruit packer for Skookum, from which she retired after 25 years. She was an avid reader of Danielle Steel and loved gardening and making her homemade soup and strawberry jam. Before her health got bad, she made quilts for her grandkids. She was a true giver. She is survived by her children, Daria (Steve) Johnson of Lyle, WA, Richard (Maria) Floyd of Colorado Springs, CO, Elizabeth (Bob) Johnson and Martha Floyd, all of East Wenatchee; her sister, Barbara Gorecke of Hampton, GA; many nieces and nephews; eight grandkids; and nine great-grandkids. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters; her husband; and her youngest son, John. Visitation will be held at Telford's Chapel of the Valley, in East Wenatchee, WA, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m., Thursday, October 7, 2010. Funeral Services begin at 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 8, 2010, at Telford's, with Burial to follow at Wenatchee City Cemetery, in Wenatchee, WA. A Reception will also be held at King's Orchard Church of Christ, in Wenatchee, WA, after services have concluded. Donations may be made to Central Washington Hospital Home, Health and Hospice, 1020 N. Wenatchee Avenue, Wenatchee, WA 98801. Arrangements are by Telford's Chapel of the Valley, East Wenatchee, WA.
