Has anyone on this list ever researched the Deweese (Dewese) (Dewees) Family? my Great Great Grandmother Ford was Charlotte Nancy (Nancy Charlotte) Deweese, her Father was Solomon Deweese and that is as far as I can go. I know that Solomon was buried in Skullyville Cemetery, OK. This is a Choctaw cemetery and he does have a tombstone there. He died in 1880, He was born in NC?? lived in Illinois, Missouri, Arkansas, Texas and Oklahoma. The mother of Nancy was first wife Margaret Flannary (Flannery). She, Nancy, married George Leonard Ford, a Baptist preacher in Izard County, They are both buried in the cemetary at Antioch near Zion. Second wife was Litisha ??
