Doris, My grandmother was a Hall from the Iuka, Rodney area. On Oct.10th, we had a Hall marker memorial dedication at the Wayland Arbor for Mary Margaret McDonald Hall who was the Hall matriarch who brought her family from Williamson County Tennessee to Izard County. She died sometime between 1880 and 1890 and her grave was marked only by fieldstones. It was a very special day and we had many Hall descendants there. Margaret, this must be my lucky day to hear good things from both you & Betty regarding kinfolks. My mother was Ruby Ersie Hall, daughter of John Cantwell Hall & Oshie Etheridge. My grandpa John hall was son of Wm Jasper Hall & Annie Lancaster. Oshie's mother was Jane Hively Daughter of Daniel Hively, How very ,very interesting. I have alot of kin in Wayland Arbor & Pauls Valley Ok. I was born in Iuka and when I was a 3 week old baby my dad moved us to Ok. to do share-cropping along with my grandpa Hall & Uncle Ance Hall.
