    3. Hi Peggy: I think you left out my grandmother Mary Elizabeth Thompson who married Silas Randolph Harris. She was one of Lewis and Nancy Beavers Thompson children. Just wanted her name included. Thanks. Regards, Pauline Harris Schwarz Oct 25, 2010 01:55:43 PM, arizard@rootsweb.com wrote: Found online today. Peggy Findagrave info for Sarah Sally Stephens Thompson * * Hall family history states that she was the daughter of Allen Stephens of Springcreek Church area, south of Pineville. Sarah married Rodney Franklin Thompson. This same source goes on to say that Sarah died 1880-1885. As to dates of birth, the 1860 Fed. Census (Izard Co., Union Twp.) lists Roddin (Rodney) as 36 years old, farmer, born Illinois, and Sarah L. as 34 years old, born in Kentucky. Their children were listed as; Allen, age 10, Mary, age 7, Lewis, age 5, and William, age 3. All of their children were born in Arkanas. I was not able to find them in the 1870 census, but the 1880 Fed. Census (Baxter Co., North Fork Twp.) lists them as Roden, age 52, born in Illinois and both parents born in Kentucky, and Sarah L., age 49, born in Kentucky as was both of her parents, and William C., age 23, born in Arkansas. So, according to these reports, Rodney was born about 1824-1828, and Sarah was born about 1826-1831. Children per Hall family history; 1. Allen Thompson, married Jane Arnold. Allen was a stone mason, farmer, and also had a store for awhile. He had some limited education in a school. Their children; John, Tillman, George, and Pearl. There could have been more children. Allen remarried after his first wife died. His 2nd wife was Jane Waters. They had no children. 2. Lewis R. Thompson, married Nancy Beavers. He was a stone mason, prepared cisterns, wells, chimneys and fireplaces. Children; Hickman, Betty, William, Frankie, Lee, Phoebe, Noah, Hewie, and Ronald. Burial in Spring Creek Cemetery. 3. Mary Jane Thompson (1851-1936), married Rev. Finis Ewing Hall, son of John H. and Matilda Trimble Hall. Burial at Wayland Arbor Cemetery. 4. William C. "Doc" Thompson (1853-1952), married Mellissa Russel. He was a farmer, timber worker, stone mason and general countryside worker. Children; Meadie, Cora, Grover, Ellwood, and Tressie. William and Mellissa separated and divorced. William and the children moved to Oklahoma, the children marrying, scattering here and there, some going to California where William followed. William died in California at the age of 99. The California Death Index lists; William Glenn Thompson, born Feb. 1, 1857 in Arkansas, mother's maiden name Stevens, father's surname Thompson, died Kern County, Ca. Dec. 5, 1950, age 93. 3. Pauline, this was a "cut and paste" job and did not originate with me. I am quite familiar with Mary Elizabeth, shown only as Mary E. in 1880 census.  I thought I had found my Mary Emla "Belle" THOMPSON, and pursued your Mary Elizabeth though many records, realizing she was wrong person (for me) when found she married Silas Randolph HARRIS. So, the information found online that I posted did not originate with me. Peggy
