    3. Morning All, Interesting to hear some of the comments here. I so dislike VISTA and like many of you wish I had XP back. When I heard Windows 7 was coming out I started planning on obtaining it. Haven't yet, and now after some of the comments on here about how much some of you dislike it - WHOA - I just may back up and learn to live with what I have. I had no idea that Outlook does not work with Windows 7 - that is a bit of news I certainly didn't like. Anyway Harold glad you are up and running again, All of this makes me realize once again how bad I am at backing up things. Janice glad at least your school work was salvaged. There's a lesson here for all of us. Guess its time to turn over a new leaf and learn to live with what I have. All have a good day - I'm out of here headed to the mountains. Deer season opens in the AM, so I've been busy packing and packing more (mostly food of course), so its off I go. A great family time. We'll see how much walking and hill climbing I can still do. Everyone have a great weekend, talk to you when I get back. 3. Thanks, Pat....but just a word of clarification.....when I got on the Microsoft website for info on how to set up Express in Windows 7, I read an answer to someone's question about the same thing and the tech had answered that question that Express did not work in Windows 7. "Outlook" is a much more comprehensive program than "Outlook Express" and there may indeed be a version of it that will work in Windows 7. It is my understanding that Express is only the mail part of Outlook...............................Harold B. -------------------------------------------------- From: "Pat Brewer" <epbrewer@fmtc.com> Sent: Friday, October 01, 2010 8:49 AM To: <arizard@rootsweb.com> Subject: Re: [ARIZARD] -Computer Down- Off subject > Morning All, > > Interesting to hear some of the comments here. 3. My computer 'says'XP, but after it crashed and was restored, Outlook is one of the items that no longer works. I can't even use the "Search" mode for items I know are still in it's '********' memory circuits. It's so frustrating.!!!! Harold, so very glad your info was saved, what would I do without your Pierson/Pearson info, & more. g.
