    3. Vera, When a site won't let you copy and paste, just do a screen shot of the page where the photo is.  Scroll up or down or sideways to get the image of interest fully within the borders of the window, hit Alt+PrintScreen (i.e. simultaneously) which will copy the visible contents of the window, open Windows Paint (comes with Windows, so you should have it), hit Edit --> Paste, then crop the photo, cut (or copy) the area you just cropped, clear the screen, and paste the just-cropped image onto a fresh Paint screen.  Crop if necessary.  (I just reduce the canvas size to something ridiculously small before pasting so I know it won't have white space around it.  This eliminates the need for further cropping.)  Then save the file in JPG format which can then be transferred to Find A Grave or attached to or inserted into an email or wherever. You could even copy the whole obituary this way and eliminate the need to transcribe it. PM me if that's not clear or doesn't work.  It's simpler to do than to try to explain in detail.  I'm not at my own computer right now or I'd go find it myself.  I can look at it in a couple of hours if needed. ________________________________ From: Vera Reeves <velane@centurytel.net> To: arizard@rootsweb.com Sent: Thu, September 30, 2010 6:51:12 AM Subject: [ARIZARD] Thelma “Granny” Gilstrap There is an obituary with a picture for Thelma “Granny” Gilstrap in the Calico Rock newspaper on line. They don't let you cut and paste. When the paper comes out I will be happy to scan and send a copy. Lorene from Washington sent a copy a couple of days ago. ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to ARIZARD-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message
