Calico Rock Progress Dec 6, 1973 - Alva Langston Alva Langston, age 80, of Melbourne, died December 6, 1973, in the Calico Rock Medical Center. He had spent most of his life at Wiseman, Izard County, and was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife, Nancy, of Melbourne; one son, Norman Langston of Salem, Ark.; one daughter, Mrs. Lorene Harber of Horseshoe Bend, Ark., one brother, Lucius Langston of Wiseman, Ark.; two sisters, Mrs. Novella McCullough of Salem, Ark. and Mrs. Jo Rouse of Morriston, Ark.; four grandchildren. Funeral service was Sat., Dec. 8, 1973, at 2:00 p.m., in the Morriston Church of Christ with Bro. Clovis Ragsdale and Rev. Stanley Cooper officiating. Interment in the Morriston Cemetery.
