    3. Chester "Chet" Harmon Post a commentPrint By The Wenatchee World Staff Sunday, December 12, 2010 Chester B. "Chet" Harmon, 74, of East Wenatchee, a 66 year Wenatchee area resident, passed away on Tuesday morning, December 7, 2010, at his home in East Wenatchee. He was born on July 16, 1936, at Melbourne, AR, to the late William and Audrey (Andruss) Harmon. He moved with his family to East Wenatchee when he was eight years old. He attended East Wenatchee schools and Wenatchee High School. Following high school, he entered the U.S. Army and served from September of 1955 through June of 1958. Upon his return, he went to work at Columbia Concrete in Wenatchee. He met and was later married to Alma Dean Jeffery on January 29, 1960, in Wenatchee. They made their first home together in Wenatchee. Chester later went to work at the Kenneth Buzzard Orchards and worked his way up to Orchard Foreman and later became the orchard manager. Later, when the orchards were sold, Chester went to work as a Patrolman for the Merchant Patrol Security. They moved to make their home in East Wena! tchee in 2002, where they have since remained. He worked for the Merchant Patrol Security for ten years, before retiring just three years ago. He was a member of the Missionary Baptist Church in Wenatchee. Chester was a sports fanatic; he loved football, especially the Arkansas Razorbacks. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Alma D. Harmon of East Wenatchee; one daughter, Deanna Ingram of East Wenatchee; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Darius and Melissa Harmon of Wenatchee and Darnell Harmon of East Wenatchee; one brother and sister-in-law, George and Ella Harmon of Wenatchee; six grandchildren, Adam and his wife, Theresa Ingram, stationed in Oregon, Trista Harmon of Aberdeen, WA, Renee Ingram, of East Wenatchee, Jessica Harmon of Wenatchee, Alan Ingram of East Wenatchee and Megan Harmon of Wenatchee; one step-granddaughter, Emily Mattix of Wenatchee; and three great-grandchildren, Ruby Ingram and Malachi Ingram, both with their parents stationed in Oregon and Hayden Cherry of Aberdeen, WA. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Annie Kirby; and three brothers, Roland, Pete and Paul Harmon. At his request, there will be No Services held.
