He attended East Wenatchee schools > and Wenatchee High School. Following high school, he entered the U.S. Army > and served from September of 1955 through June of 1958. Upon his return, > he went to work at Columbia Concrete in Wenatchee. He met and was later > married to Alma Dean Jeffery on January 29, 1960, in Wenatchee. They made > their first home together in Wenatchee. Chester later went to work at the > Kenneth Buzzard Orchards and worked his way up to Orchard Foreman and > later became the orchard manager. Later, when the orchards were sold, > Chester went to work as a Patrolman for the Merchant Patrol Security.
