William Nathan Boler was a brother to my great-grandfather John Wesley Boler (b. 3 Jan. 1850 MS; d. 12 Aug. 1830). William Nathan Boler and John Wesley Boler were two of the five sons of my great-great-grandparents William Riden Boler (b. 26 Sept. 1824) and Martha Gordon (b. 6 April 1826; d. 10 Sept. 1886). William Riden Boler and Martha Gordon (wife 1) are buried in Violet Hill Cemetery, as is William's second wife Elizabeth Forrest (b. 7 June 1847; d. 18 Sept. 1915). Lee Anne

Typos happen. >From the Melbourne Times, Melbourne, AR issue dated Aug 29, 1930 - In Memory of John Boler John W. Boler was born in Union, Mississippi, Jan 3, 1850. During his boyhood he moved with his parents to Izard County, Arkansas, where he lived until he moved to Wayne, Oklahoma, ten years ago. In 1874 he was married to Leona Montgomery of Izard County. To this union were born eight children, one dying in infancy. One daughter, Mrs Myrtle Puckett and one son, Ray died in 1918. Those who survive are his companion, two sons, Garland and Clyde and three daughters, Mrs Minnie Billingsley, Mrs Elmer Simpson and Mrs Zona Richardson. He became a member of the Church of Christ in 1918, being baptized by our lamented Bro. W. A. Schultz in White River near Guion. In his passing besides his wife and children mentioned, he leaves one brother, "Billie" Boler of Arkansas, twenty-one grandchildren and a host of friends. He died on August 12, 1930 at the ripe old age of 80 years, seven months and ten days. He was stricken with paralysis about July 1, making his left side helpless and causing him to be practically helpless all over. He was moved from his home in Wayne to the home of his daughter Mrs Minnie Billingsley, also of Wayne, and remained there until death. He was laid to rest in the Hill Side Cemetery at Purcell, Okla., on August 13, funeral services being conducted by C. L. Wilkerson at the Church of Christ in Wayne. J. Billingsley of this place Saturday afternoon and was buried at the Roberts Cemetery near Franklin Sunday afternoon, Eld. G. W. Howard conducting the services. Deceased was survived by two sons, W. J. Billingsley of this place and Roy Billingsley of Washington; one daughter, Mrs Garland Boler of Wayne, Oklahoma and several grandchildren. ============== Dec 20, 1918 - Community News Mrs Newt Puckett died of influenza at her home at Sage Sunday night after a brief illness.
