God KNOWS when and where we'll die, but if you step in front of a speeding bus or jump out of a plane without a parachute YOU are determining when and where you'll die. There's a difference. God gave us a brain for a reason. Not saying going to Israel is dangerous. Some years ago they learned her husband had Jewish ancestry a couple generations back, and they embraced the religion and practice it. I backed her up, and reminded her that I am not negative about what she chooses to do -- and I don't appreciate her being negative about what I do. So, no more disparaging remarks. My son Barry has lived in Japan since 1988 after graduating from the University of Tulsa. He went there to teach "English" to adolescent Japanese children. I had friends in the work place who would tell me, "There's going to be an earthquake there -- you need to tell him to come home." I didn't see it that way. I believed it was his choice. I always believed our children "are loaned" to us. Barry has obtained his Master's and Ph.D (from Columbia University of NY in Tokyo) and is a professor in a Japanese university.
