    3. In John M Russell's will written in 1899, he gives grandson, Melville Pugh, $50 worth of stuff. So Dink's son was Melville! No other grandchildren were mentioned in the will. So, assuming his mother who is buried in Hand Cemetery was already dead and that's why John M gave him stuff in the will?? His Father might have been dead also. I found Pugh families in Izard and Baxter counties, but didn't see anything that might be Melville! Anyone with a Pugh in the family that doesn't fit anywhere born between 1870 and 1899? Thanks and MERRY CHRISTMAS to all. He said she's there in the cemetery, and there is a Dink Pough there! But, I have never seen a researcher with anything past her birth for info on her. John M's family was in Fulton County in 1870. Then 1880 they are in Baxter or Izard. She is 17 in 1870 and so she probably married before 1880. The 1870 census they are on is Page 1 for Big Creek Township. And, I didn't find any Poughs on the first 8 pages of that group. So, what township lay next to the Big Creek in the area where they lived? I will look for Poughs and Pughs in the 1870/80 censuses. Thanks for all the work you did yesterday, Gen!! You're a great researcher! 3. Does anyone have any connection between the Hooser family and the Pugh family?  My grandmother's baby sister's middle name was Pugh.  She never knew why and I have not been able to find a family connection.  I would think there had to be to name a child for the name.
