    1. [ARIZARD] James Oliver Jeffery-Jim
    2. Jean Cuevas
    3. Jim, I have separated the facts, as best I can, because my message had everything slung together, and was hard to make out! Thanks for sharing this information. I thought at first that you were saying that James Oliver was not the right one for Jesse and Mary, but I believe you are establishing the descendancy of his son William Beniah "Ben" Jeffery? So, William had a son named James Oliver, who went by "Ollie"? I remember the photo that you sent of your wife's mother, a very pretty woman. Am I the only one who seems to think the Jefferys had Indian blood? So many of them are really dark eyed and dark haired. Of course, I don't see that in Jeffery history. Other than my dad's cousins who I know have Indian, and show it very distinctly. And, I can see Indian on Dad's side, as well. It may have been through the Wrights.... Let me know, if I have not separated these facts correctly. Thanks, Jim. The 1900 census for Chickasaw Nation, Indian Territory lists James O. as son of William B. Jeffry (Jeffery), as 10, born 9/1889 in TX The 1910 census for Comanche Co., Ok list James O. as son of William B. Jeffrey (Jeffery), age 19 born in TX. 3. June , glad to hear Ed is feeling a bit better after his fall. Could all you middle and eastern states send some of your snow to California, we really need it, we'll take moisture in any form. So far this year we have had less than 3 inches of rain here in the valley (July 1 to Feb 2) and about 2 feet of snow in the high sierras, no snow in the mountains, no water in the valleys, no veggies for the rest of the country. Pray for Rain in California. :) Ellen ( in No. CA) On Tue, Feb 4, 2014 at 11:21 AM, Jim and Judy MONTGOMERY < pabst04@comcast.net> wrote: > Hey Cuz June Bug > What was Ed doing chasing you around and fell. Author: donalaurie Surnames: Jeffery Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.arkansas.counties.izard/3318/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I posted this in the Jeffery board, but thought I would put this out to Izard County experts as well... Trying to find James Oliver Jeffery b1830 in the census records. In 1850 he is with Jesse & Mary and siblings in Union, Izard County, AR. In 1860, I find two census records for Oliver Jeffery. He is listed with parents Jesse & Mary and siblings in Mill Creek, Izard County, and then there is another census record for Oliver Jeffery with Mary and children Jesse and Amy, in Table Rock, Izard County. So the first 1860 census ties Oliver with parents Jesse Jeffery & Mary (Langston), but the second 1860 census record ties Oliver with wife Mary Smith and children. Are there really two Oliver Jefferys, and they have been accidentally tied together, or are the census records incorrect? Thanks for any help on clarifying this... 3. I have the same problem with my husbands family in Ohio, he was counted twice in the same county by the same enumerator all with in 3 days of each other. He was counted in his own home and then 3 days later in the home of a relative along with all his kids, so his whole family went visiting. Took me a bit to figure that all out, have run across that a couple of other times too. 3. Hello Bob & Sheila: Had to change my e-mail address because someone was soliciting money from my family and friends. Never found out who it was, but had to change all my information. I found out about it from a cousin (I've never met) who lives in MO. They asked her for $2,500, saying I was robbed and lost all my money, cards, etc and needed money to get home and would repay her in a few weeks. She was so upset, found out where my husband was buried, called the funeral home and had them contact me to call her. I told her I would never e-mail anyone to ask for anything and that she was smart to verify the info before sending them money. She said she had cried so much, thinking I was desperate for money and not knowing how to help me.  Who ever was doing this is so cruel to upset people like that. The same message was sent to several people who figured it was a scam and did not respond, but let me know it was going on. Hope this is finding you and yours staying warm in this cold windy weather.
