Sorry, M. C. Boler's patent was 15 December 1882. I meant to change it in the QUESTIONS. It was correct in the BACKGROUND information. See below 15 December 1882, Homestead Certificate No. 2502, Application 1059, AR Vol. 248, page 188. I am ordering the Homestead Application 1059 to see if it has information that is helpful. C. Boler, widow of Andrew J. Boler. Looking for proof she was or was not a Montgomery. Which Gault did she marry? QUESTIONS THAT I HOPE SOMEONE CAN ANSWER: * Was Suoky / M. C. Boler's maiden name Montgomery or Wiseman or something else? * What was the name of the Gault M. C. Boler married after Andrew died and after she patented a homestead in AR in 1881? Was it Thomas Calvin "Callie" Gault? * Does someone on the list have a photo of Martha C. Gault that we could compare to my photo of Martha C. Montgomery, daughter of William Franklin Montgomery and Laura Ann Jones, to see if she is or is not the same person as Martha C. Gault? BACKGROUND THAT IS THE REASON I'M ASKING: Suoky Boler, widow of Andrew J. Boler, and her baby Andrew T. Boler were in the 1880 household of my great-grandparents John Wesley and Leona Bernice (nee Montgomery) Boler (b. 3 September 1853 GA; d. 14 April 1939 McClain Co. OK; her death certificate lists her parents' names and birth locations). Suoky was listed as John's sister-in-law. Suoky cold be called sister-in-law because she was Leona's sister, or because she was Andrew's wife - or both. Suoky's initials were M. C. I know because on 15 December 1882 M. C. Boler, widow of Andrew J. Boler patented a homestead (Homestead Certificate No. 2502, Application 1059, AR Vol. 248, page 188). Glenda Ramsey told me that Genon Williams told her that M. C. Boler married a Gault. Martha C. Gault is buried in the Humphries (aka Montgomery) Cemetery in Fulton County. T. C. Gault (Thomas Calvin Gault, husband of M. C. Gault) is buried there too. Their headstones are in memorials on http://arkansasgravestones.org and http://findagrave.com. Leona had a sister named Martha C. Montgomery. Looking at the circumstantial evidence at the time I originally found Suoky / M. C. Boler, I decided that M. C. Boler and Martha C. Montgomery could be the same person (sister of Leona Bernice (nee Montgomery) Boler. However, I need something to prove or disprove that. The initials being the same, might have been a coincidence. I have a photo of Martha C. Montgomery and her two sisters Leona Bernice Montgomery and Octavia (nee Montgomery Gaston) and Martha C. (nee Montgomery) Gault(?). It would be great if someone on the list had a photo of Martha C. Gault that we could compare to determine if they are or are not one and the same person. I'll also try to find a newspaper announcement of the marriage of Andrew J. Boler and M. C. _____ and of Thomas Calvin Gault and M. C. (nee _____) Boler, but I don't hold out much hope. Also, I don't think court records for the time Andrew died exist any more. If you don't know the answer, but can suggest someone who might, please let me know or ask that person to contact me. It would be great if someone on the list had a photo of Martha C. Gault that we could compare to determine if they are or are not one and the same person. Lee Anne P.S. Lora Ann Gault was a child of Martha C. (nee ___) and Thomas Calvin Gault. Martha C. Montgomery's mother was named Laura Ann Jones (d. 1907 AR). A tree on MyHeritage.com says that Lora Ann Gault was born 19 Sept. 1881 in AR, married Samuel Davis Vaughan, and died in Dallas, Dallas County, TX 31 July 1969. It lists her parents as Martha C. Montgomery and Thomas Calvin "Callie" Gault. However, ---- this tree (GENI tree) also says that Martha C. Montgomery was the daughter of Hugh and Mary A. (________) Montgomery who was born in Donegal, Ireland. Uh oh. A third possibility.

Hi IZARD County folks. My wife, Julie and I just drove up from Pasco, Washington to stay with my parents (Jim and Carrol Reeves) on Hwy 58, 12 miles from Melbourne in Izard County. Sue Chrisco is my 2nd cousin, my dads 1st cousin. Julie had detoured us to Branson for 2 days first, though. Her relatives are in Little Rock, Conway and a few other towns on the Hutto side. Thanks, Lee Anne. No problem! :) Just wish I knew what had caused it to begin with! At 09:38 AM 5/8/2014, you wrote: >You are very sweet and thoughtful Jean. Thank you. I know that had to have >been a lot of time-consuming work adding us all back. > >Lee Anne
Has anyone on the list used Evernote for Genealogists for Windows? It appears to be software for organizing your genealogy files (e.g., paper, digital). Lee Anne
You are very sweet and thoughtful Jean. Thank you. I know that had to have been a lot of time-consuming work adding us all back. Lee Anne
When you receive a notice that you have been unsubbed, I get a duplicate. I am putting you and the others back on, as soon as I see them. I don't know what is going on, and I don't know whether it's to do with your server or Rootsweb. Just be patient, and either sub yourself back, or wait for me to do it. When I go onto my Administrative page, if I add your email address, and you have already put yourself back on, it will not let me duplicate the subscription. That, Pat, sounds like my I Phone voice mail. :) Wow! Pat and Gen, Not sure what the problem is, when you get some messages, but not all. It may be in your particular server, but I don't know. As you know, I had a slew of unsubscribed messages, put everyone back on, now I have a few more that I am going to have to manually add back. If you get some messages about your subscription, and think "what's going on" just be patient and know that I will add you back, if you get bounced off. Betty, Not sure where these were, but this may be a part of your family: Descendants of Carroll Coots 1 Carroll Coots .. +Jemima Jeffery . 2 Clarence Coots Jemima Jeffery was the daughter of John Jeffery and Samantha Matilda Denton. John Jeffery was the brother of my great-grandmother, Elizabeth Weatherford Jeffery, daughter of young Jesse Jeffery and Mary Langston.
