    3. The source of my information was: Name also spelled "Maylon". Source:e-mail Kerri ([email protected]) 8/3/2003 Mahlon and Nancy (Nannie) were married Jan. 27, 1878 in Arkansas, probably Izard Co. In 1889, Mahlon drowned in the White River along with two sons, James Adler and William Mahlon. Mahlon was only thirty years old, and the boys were between the ages of eighteen and twenty-two. Nancy re-married three more times. He and his wife and children must have lived near Lunenburg, according to the 1880 census, so I'm guessing he is buried in one of the cemeteries near the river down there, or just across in Stone County. 3. My mother's mother came from that area of Kentucky--they are in that Combs, Cornett, Grigsby, Fugates, Ritchies and a few others group. And they went to Madison county, Arkansas. If you haven't been there recently-I think it is a desolate county--just sayin.' There is a complete 'Kentucky' township in Madison County--it was that group from Kentucky, mostly, that lived there. And, my dad's folks came into the Izard, Fulton, Baxter county areas. So, that's how come I know about it--I've been visiting that site for a long while now. Glad you all gleaned some info from there. Pat Foster In OK
