Happy Birthday Junebug. It's OUR day today and we hope you have a wonderful birthday. You and the girls will have a great time I'm sure. Wish I could be there ad have a cup of coffee with you. It'll have to wait until spring. As you know, today is also our anniversary - this is our 60th. Nothing happening today, as we have a big "doings" on Saturday, so today is spent getting ready for that. Enjoy those girls and I know they enjoy spending time with you., Big HI to Ed and will see both of you in the spring. Ellen (soggy No. CA) The Arkansas Department of Health rolled out a new service on Monday that allows users to search and order state death certificates on the Web. Previously, the records were available only through in-person requests or paper-form submissions. The new online database currently offers only records of deaths that occurred from 1935 to 1961 on the website, but the department said that workers will be adding records in the coming months. Users may search by last name, death date, county of death and state of birth. The new database does not contain the actual certificates nor any images of any documents. Unfortunately, it is only an index to the records plus an online ordering form. You can find a person's death listed by name, state of birth, Arkansas county of death, date of death, and mother's name. Once the record is located, you may fill out a form and have a photocopy of the original document sent to you via standard US Postal Service mail within 7-10 business days. Pricing is $10.00 for the first certificate and $8.00 for each additional certificate. The new death records from the Arkansas Department of Health are available at: https://www.ark.org/doh_dcs/. That page displays a very simple search form containing fields for first name, last name, and date of death. However, clicking on "Show Advanced Search" brings up a search box showing more options. ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to [email protected] with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message

Betty Hutson I have a Clements & Langston tree on ancestry.com, "Clements-Langston Family Tree". I have a John & Rebecca Langston, with a daughter Polly (one of eight children I have found). John is living next to Christiana Langston and her son Jehoiada J Langston in 1850. I haven't found a direct connection to John, but I have other related Langstons in Izard, Fulton, Faulkner, and Pulaski Counties Tom 2. I’ve been really, really fortunate in that I’ve only had one such incident – an electrical surge killed my hard drive a couple of years ago. Lucky for me I had backed up my files about a month previously, so I didn’t lose too much work. A friend told me about a website that automatically backs up your file every day. With this service, you won’t lose everything if something dire happens, tornado, fire, crash, or hacker, or even electrical surge or theft – whatever the cause. Your “stuff” will be saved online and can be retrieved intact. The address is http://www.carbonite.com/ and the cost seems reasonable to me. It is $60 a year – which is only $5 a month, and you can relax and not worry about losing your family files or photos. The only reason I’m “hawking” this is to hopefully prevent anyone losing their work. HI there, Another Wilma looking at Robert Livingston...I have Robert L. Livingston, born abt.1876, married to Nettie Francis Roberts in 1908 Same man???? My FTM has several Langstons also. I think I gave up on DAR. They would not accept a marriage recorded family Bible. I hope you have better luck. Hi everyone, I'm still out here just been taking it easy and letting otherthings get in my way. Spent the afternoon at the library researching Robert Livingston. Going to try again to find the connection to John Langston of Izard who was married to my 2nd. ggmother (Polly Langston's) mother, so that I will finally to be able to join the DAR.. It's been raining off and on here this week. Hope everyone is well. Sorry to hear about all of yomputer woes. Wilma, i'm goint to keep your information about the backup service and as soon as I can I will join them. God Bless everyone this week and keep well along with all of our service men and gals. The address is www.carbonite.com and the cost seems reasonable to me. It is $60 a year – which is only $5 a month, and you can relax and not worry about losing your family files or photos. The only reason I’m “hawking” this is to hopefully prevent anyone losing their work. Can't tell you how much I have lost over the years because I wasn't prepared for a crash. I hope you soon get used to your new one. I hope you and everyone on the list had a good Thanksgiving, as well. We have been having such nice weather here in Georgia that it hardly seems like winter. Of course, we have a long way to go, and we could see the cold weather coming in around mid-January. Seems like that's when we do usually. Good wishes on getting everything just the way you want it!
