    1. Re: [ARIZARD] Gault-Montgomery - death certificate should help resolve who Ella's mother was and 1880 given name disparity
    2. Lee Anne Center
    3. Thanks Vera. Does anyone have Mary Luella (Redman) Gault's death certificate? I would really love to know what it says about who her mother was. I ask because there is some confusing information. The 1900 Jefferson, Izard Co., AR federal census lists Laura Redmon as the mother-in-law of William Orr Gault. In 2006 Roger Harvell kindly sent me a great Redman report that has the information below. He may not have had the information from the 1900 federal census, or he may have/known other information. The 1880 District 84, La Crosse, Izard County, AR federal census lists Norah Ann Redman as Lafayette's wife. It should list Laura Ann Redman (nee Jones). The death certificate would help resolve the given name disparity and who the mother of Ella was. 1880 District 84, La Crosse, Izard County, AR federal census 126/131 Redman, Lafayette 48 Farmer NC NC NC , Norah Ann 49 Wife Keeping house GA NC NC (This must be Laura Ann (nee Jones) Montgomery Redman) , John B. 17 Son Works on farm AR NC GA , Joel C. 15 Son Works on farm AR NC GA , James D. 12 Son Works on farm AR NC GA , Darnadus 10 Son Works on farm AR NC GA , Rebecca Ann 9 Daughter AR NC GA , Mary L. 7 Daughter AR NC GA 1880 La Crosse, Izard County, AR 209/215 Gaston, William 30 Farmer TN KY TN [b. abt. 1850] Octavia A. 28 wife Keeping house GA GA GA [b. abt. 1852] Vesta 5 Daughter AR TN GA Austin 3 Son AR TN GA Marvin 2/12 Mar Son AR TN GA Montgomery, Calvin 20 Brother-in-law Farmer AR GA GA (b. 22 Aug. 1860; d. 6 July 1949; source Cheryl Allen) 1880 Mountain, Yell County, AR 25/25 Redmon, William A. 45 Working on farm SC Redmon, America 35 Keeping house VA Redmon, Manathis 8 GA Redmon, America 6 GA Redmon, John H. 3 GA Montgomery, Thomas 18 Working on farm GA Also 15 Dec. 1897, a Laura A. He married (3) LAURA ANN MONTGOMERY Aft. 1871. Notes for LAFAYETTE REDMAN: {No proof has been found that Lafayette is the son of Darnadus and Hetha and there has been no chart found indicating he existed as their child, but it is difficult to imagine that he is not when you look at the circumstancial evidence and the names of his descendants. Lafayette's land in Izard County is very near my great-great-grandmother Tabitha Renee Campbell's. Tabitha was Hetna's sister and would be his aunt. Also nearby properties were puchased by the known sons of Darnadus, John W and George W Redman. Now, that I am told by Casey Redman that Lafayette kept in touch with "Aunt Fannie" in North Carolina I have very little doubt that he belongs with this family. -RDH} More About ELIZA JANE BATTLES: Burial: Big Springs Cemetery, Izard County, Arkansas More About LAFAYETTE REDMAN and ELIZA BATTLES: Marriage: c 1858, Izard County, Arkansas Notes for RHODA ANN CLARK: 1850 Millerburgh Township, Rutherford County, Tennessee 1045 1045 Walter Clark 43 NC Rebecca 36 TN Jane 16 TN Susan 15 TN Elizabeth 14 TN Rhody A 10 TN Medlina 6 TN William 4 TN James 1 TN -------------------- 1860 Conway Township, Izard County, Arkansas 278 279 Rebecca Clark 47 TN Susan 26 TN Rhoda 22 TN Sarah F 18 TN Mary 15 TN William 14 TN James 12 TN Robert 7 TN Samuel 4 AR More About LAFAYETTE REDMAN and RHODA CLARK: Marriage: Aft. 1863, Izard County, Arkansas More About LAFAYETTE REDMAN and LAURA MONTGOMERY: Marriage: Aft. 1871 Children of LAFAYETTE REDMAN and ELIZA BATTLES are: i.
