Margaret, I don't know if Reginia is on the list. I don't think so, since these are coming to me personally. I have this couple listed in my Lackey Lines book but it does not give any more information than that listed. The Lackey Killian connection in my line does not join until the early 1900's. If there is a connection before that time, I would love to know. I think David must have me confused with my brother Glen. He was the one who was into cars, drag racing and all that sort of thing. Harold, I have tried calling David this morning but his line is always busy. I did mention you to him and he remembers you very well. He even gave me a detailed description of the car that you were driving when you came to visit his parents. He said that he remained impressed with that car a lifetime. Margaret, glad to know we are related---don't have much on the Killians, but will see if I can find what I have. Barbara Ward Jennings is my first cousin thru the Caruthers. I am beginning to believe just about everyone with Izard connections is related one way or another. Yes, June, this is the same family. My mother was a Jennings and Spellman was her first cousin. So David and I are second cousins. Spellman was a great influence on me to do my family genealogy, he had loads of information on our early family and was so good to share it with me. His half-brother Carl was also a great help as he had all the church records from Caney Springs. (Carl was Ina's Uncle as well). After Spellman and Dora moved to Viola, we didn't see nearly as much of them as we would have liked, but we kept in touch through the years. Glenna, I am the granddaughter Dave Killian and Emma Lackey. Dave was a younger brother of William Killian who married Martha Cantrell. Also, my cousin David Jennings married Barbara Ward which is an entirely different connection. Any information that you have would be appreciated. Hello, Margaret, Thank you for your kind remarks. There is a "public" tree on ancestry.com -- the "ray Family Tree" [note lower case "r"] with Deloris BOOKOUT's ancestors: Martha Ellen KING, b. 1840, IL, d. 10 October 1907, Iuka, Izard County, AR [parents not named] m: 09 August 1860, Izard County, AR William / Williamson Anderson HALL, b. 15 July 1837, Williamson County, TN; de. 27 February 1920, AR [parents named w/ data] A CW Veteran: 32nd Missouri Infantry [CSA or Union not shown] There is a picture of W. A. HALL and Martha Ellen. Also pictures of each of their tombstones. This Story attached to him: "My gr-greatgrandfater Williamson A. HALL was described in HALL history by Frank HALL: Uncle "Billie" had a strong voice, clean in his habits, and a very devout christian and a powerful "Lay" worker in the church. Polly LEWIS KILLIAN g-g-granddaughter of John H. HALL, described William A. HALL as a man of Prayer. She said any time there was sickness in the community they would call Uncle Billie to pray. Like his brothers B. F. HALL and John H. HALL, he is remembered for his Faith in the Lord." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A suggestion: Since they married 1860 in Izard County, would search 1860 census for KINGs in Izard County ith Illinois connections, She sould be in 1850 census in household of her parents. Get date of 1860 census, as you know she did not marry until August that year. There were several treeswith these people, but this one appears to be related since they had the pictures. Happy Hunting, Margaret, to you and your friend! Peggy Peggy {KING} TRUESDELL My KING ancestrors were from Franklin and Colbert Counties, AL in NW Alabama. ----- Original Message ---- From: "nmason001@centurytel.net" <nmason001@centurytel.net> To: truesdellp@att.net Sent: Thu, October 21, 2010 9:27:31 AM Subject: King research Peggy, I am Margaret Mason on the Izard List. I am working with Deloris Hall Bookout on her Hall and now King research. Her great grandmother was Martha Ellen King who married William Anderson Hall. You have so much wonderful King information that I thought you might have something to help her. If you have time, her email is dbookout7@yahoo.com I grew up and live in the Baxter/Izard County area so I often know people that you mention in your research and I'm always interested. Thank you so much. Margaret Mason

June: Yes, that Dolores is my first cousin. Her mother Daisy Dixon Jones was my mother's oldest sister. I never met Aunt Daisy, but met Dolores in Melbourne while at a Dixon/Cooper family reunion. Corresponded with her by e-mail through her husband Leland, but after he died, I lost contact with her. Know her boys live in Washington, so, agree she probably went to live close to them and her grandchildren. She liked living in WA. Visited her and Leland in Batesville, they were such wonderful people. Thanks for writing. Margaret, just wondering if you are related to the Cantrells thru the Killians. I was just looking up some stuff on the Killians, and now can't find it (old age). Thought I would ask if we were related before I search some more. Glenna Goodwin
Good Morning Pat, OH MY YES ! Daisy married my dad's step-brother Edmon and she is a jewel of a sweet lady. Her sister Lillie married Rudell, Ed's brother. I can remember when my young single uncles were dating the two Moody sisters. They were all such a joy to be with to a kid like me and now all these years have gone by and we never lived close enough to each other to visit much. My mother has been gone many years but I miss hearing all her stories of all the names of people she loved in and around the area of her birth. I hear names on the ARIZARD list that I have heard my mother speak of so much. Have a good day.........Rudine
