    3. Can someone on the list help this guy who is searching for Lorenzo Kizzia. I'm pretty sure I've seen some discussion on this site sometime ago about the Kissia's and Mason's. Thanks. Betty Mc As for Kizzia ~ my gg gf Lorenzo Kizzia lived with a Smith family in 1850 at age 16. Later married Mary Ann Dobbs. I cannot unearth any clues as to who his parents are. I believe his first born, Mariah may have married Thomas Kizziar of TN. After the war the Kizzia and Kizziar families moved to OK and TX. My gg gf moved to Evergreen, San Jacinto Co., TX along with other families from Izard including Hightower, King, Riddle, Risner and Richards. Are you aware of any AR historical publications that might include Kizzia / Kizziar / Kizziah?

    3. I haven't been following the messages on Davis. Just had to stick my nose in anyway. There was a Lulu Parks who married a Smith then Davis in Baxter County. She married C. E. Davis on 27 Mar 1907. Her obit tells of her marriage to W. M. Smith in 1893. I didn't find this marriage in Baxter. I found her in 1920 Baxter County census as a widow with children and one was Ray Davis age 10. I also found her obituary where it list a son Ray Davis. Arkansas Prior Birth index shows Davis, Ray Uell born 10-8-1909 in Baxter County. mother's maiden name is listed as Parks, Lula. I will be glad to type the short obit that names Harvey Smith, Ray Davis, Pearl Hargrave, Virgie Strain and Mrs Ethel Smith There were 2 children listed in the 1920 that were not listed in the obituary. -----Original Message----- From: ETHEL WITHERS Sent: Friday, July 27, 2012 12:27 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [ARIZARD] Betty McCullum Betty, I can't thank you enough for finding that information for me. 3. Hello Ethel: I have the Iz. Co. Historian in front of me and I'm looking at the picture and write-up on Ray Ewell Davis (1901-1985). I think I may be able to find other articles that he wrote, in some of the old Historians. I have an Index to all of the Izard County Historians (I think there were just a few printed, and I have one) so I can look for more stories about the Davis family. In fact, I have a little Book entitled Down Memory Lane which my cousin and I did several years ago and we interviewed Mrs. Nina Davis Blair (sister to Ray Ewell Davis) and I will make copies of it and it will give you a lot of the Davis genealogy. I will try to get some of this done and snail mail to you maybe Monday. Please give me your mailing address. I knew Mrs. Nina Davis Blair all my life. She was what I would call "one of the pillars" of the United Methodist Church here in Melbourne where she attended and I have always attended church there (still do). She was a very good Christian lady. She has a dau. living here, who is in the Nursing Home; she is about 80, or 81. Mrs. Nina was from a pretty good sized family. Her dad and mother lived on a farm (at Larkin) which was across the road from my in-laws. I know they tie into the Kercheval family. If you have any questions, I will try to answer them. 3. Betty, I can't thank you enough for finding that information for me. This Ray Davis is unfortunately not my family. My Ray Davis was born around 1910, and had three sisters, Virgie, Pearl and Ethel, and two brothers, Floyd and Jay. His parents were Clarence and Louise(Lulu) Davis. Thank you again Ethel
