The surname brought my attention up! My husband's father was born in Bethesda, which is just about 7 miles west of Batesville. We visited the area in May--primarily to visit the Campground Cemetry where my husband's great-grandparents, Dr. Willliam Jackson and Christeenah Bell are buried. Three of their sons (Cleat Ashby, James Edwin and Ross Adler) are buried there. Their two sisters, Ida and Vertie, are buried in other cemeteries (we visited them, too). What I'm curious about is Who were your Adler Ruddell Bell's parents? I know William Jackson had two brothers , but don't have much in the way of particulars on them.
