I'm hoping someone can help me or direct me to a source who can. I'm trying to confirm a sale of land by Nicholas Trammell Jr. to Morgan Magness in 1821 in what was then Independence County. The timing of that is important in understanding a timeline on Trammell's move into Texas, perhaps by way of Pecan Point. Nick Trammell is the namesake of Trammel's Trace. Related to that is a date saying he served on a jury. Apparently "Reminiscences' of Independence County" by Robert Neill, Vol III, p. 339 has Nick as a member of the first petit jury in the county on Nov 19, 1821. If you have that source can you verify if for me? If you have early court records in a published volume, I'd be very interested in purchasing one for these earliest years around Batesville.
