I have always wondered if Henry Bales was a brother or some relation to my Caleb because of their agers and the fact that their children are similarly named and they lived close to each other at times. I can't prove any ancestors or siblings on my Caleb. Caleb and Jane had several children - some stayed there and some went to Oklahoma. Some people researching Caleb on the internet have suggested that Caleb's father was named David, but if old naming patterns were used, James was the oldest son of Caleb, not my David Bailey Bales who was the second child, and thus Caleb's father might be named James.
