One mention is made of Fishing Creek Presbyterian Church records, Chester County, South Carolina Charles, Maude, Hugh, Paul, and Pauline all buried in the Mt. Zion Cemetery. Wherry, Paul Daniel McCRORY - Paul Daniel Wherry, 83, of McCrory died Wednesday, Jan. 14, 1998, in a Searcy hospital. He was a retired farmer and a member of the McCrory Church of Christ. He attended schools in Independence County and moved to McCrory in 1947. Survivors include his wife, Pauline Wherry; two sons, Donald Gene Wherry of Charlotte and Bill Wherry of Fair Grove, Mo.; a daughter, Betty Wherry of McCrory; two brothers, Hugh Wherry of Wynne and Hale Wherry of Newark; a sister, Emogene Gibson of Little Rock; and four granddaughters. The funeral will begin at 10 a.m. Friday at the Thompson-Wilson Funeral Home of McCrory. Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery in Newark. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today.
