I spoke to my mom again. She remembers your mom as Aunt Emogene. She says she didn't know the Wherrys very well, as her family (Ruben Lane and Maudie Henderson Lane) moved to Little Rock when she was just 18 months old. She only got to visit relatives occasionally when they travelled back to Newark. She did tell me that she thought the Gibsons were somehow connected to the Henderson side of the family as well, but couldn't remember how.
