I write to ask for help -- I need a copy of an obituary for my gggggm - Penelope Wright who died Jan 6, 1878 in Washington Township (near Bethesda.) I am applying for DAR membership and although I have a secondary source from an article that includes it in its bibliography, the DAR wants the actual obit. I emailed the editor of the Batesville Guard but no response.. so, on plan two -- anyone know how I can get a copy from this old newspaper? THANK YOU for suggestions, Laine in AZ
Some libraries will order in the newpaper on microfilm. You can try asking there... but it might take a long while I've had some on order for like two months. sigh.
