Have hit a brick wall researching data for my great grandfather JOHN WASHINGTON ANDERSON. Have no birth certificate and Little Rock says there is no death record. Hopefully, someone can help. John Anderson was born about 1854 and grew up in the Cord, AR area. He had two brothers (names unknown) and one sister. Fannie Anderson. She married a Mr. Miller and, after his death, married a Mr. Donahoe. This information is from the family Bible of one of John's daughters. It also states that he married Ellen C. Thornton on 27 July 1879 in "Independence." John moved to Alicia or Cord, AR (without his wife) around 1916 or so. The same Bible lists his death as June 1, 1927, then changed to 1930. He is believed to be buried in an unmarked grave at Arnold Cemetery in Swifton (Jackson Co.). Any information will help. All I have is an 80 year old photo with "John W. Anderson; Cord, Arkansas" written on the back. Have very detailed records for his wife, Ellen. Thanks very much. Thurman Anderson.
