Does anyone have access to Independence Co birth records? My g grandmother was born near Batesville. Don't know the township. Have information listing four different birth dates. Most likely would be 28 Feb 1858 which is on her grave marker or, more likely, 29 Feb 1860 due to references to her leap year birth. Her name was Ellen Cromwell Thornton. Her parents were Samuel G and Mary Jane Thornton. They moved to AR from VA during 1857. Would appreciate your help. Thanks. Thurman Anderson.
