Myrvin, Thanks for checking for me! I really don't know. I assume that he was probably buried close to home- probably a single grave. They only came to Ark in about 1857-8,( according to birth places of children on 1860 census) and he died about 10 years later May 1867) . I have often wondered if they came in a caravan. I found this reference in my Family of Alexander Carter book_ ( Carroll Co TN Carter's) "Nancy Newton Carter m. James Barlow Ward, A cumberland Presbyterian minister. In 1858 , they moved with their family to Arkansas in the caravan of Captain Leslie and settled in what was then Wiley's Cove in Independence County. They remeained in Arkansas and some of their descendants still live there." Is this Wiley's Cove near Cuna Post office in Barren township??? Is there a Presbyterian Church in this area of Ind. Co??? Thanks for any help you can give! Teri
