    3. I found a John Anderson, who died 01 Jun 1930 in Jackson Co., AR, listed in the North Central Arkansas Death Record Index by Desmond Walls Allen. Hope this helps. 3. Lola, thanks very much. This is the first official verification I've obtained. The June 1, 1930 date that I had was actually from a 20 year old (long before the Internet) outline prepared by a now deceased researcher in Virginia. He was researching the Thornton line and John Anderson married a Thornton during 1879. Have no idea where the date came from, but, that's not important now. The family Bible record had been crossed out several times and was barely legible. Do you know how I could go about obtaining access to the Death Record Index that you mentioned? Think I'll also try ordering a death certificate again from Little Rock. I had listed Independence Co as the place of death on the prior request. Thanks very much. Thurman Anderson. "Lola L.
