Joanne, Regarding Masonic records, you have to know what the exact name of the group of which they were a member, general locality does not work. There can be numerous lodges and records are only kept where they belonged. I did not have any luck researching this on an ancestor who was (according to Goodspeeds) one of the first Masons in the country. Good luck.
