I thought I'd let people know that the 1850 online census for Independence Co. is far from complete. There is only one line for Ruddell Township included at the very end of the file page 00375. It's missing 25 pages for Ruddell Township (376a-388a) and 15 pages for Batesville Township (389a-396a). So, if you've checked this census transcription for your ancestors and couldn't find them I suggest that you try to find a complete census.
