The old armory has been turned into the Old Independence Regional Museum. Two important historians have passed on in the last couple of years, Wilson Powell and Clyde McGinnis. I really miss them both! I am gathering information about the 16 families mentioned in the 1816 sermon by Eli Lindsey in Batesville, of which one of the families is the Ruddells. For more information about Independence County, see www.knology.net/~lizglenn I wonder when George Ruddell's son John was born?
