I've also created an index for 1830. 1840 is mostly complete and online at www.rootsweb.com/~arindepe, along with an index. It should be fully completed by tomorrow. I'm working on the last township (White River) now. I've also come across quite a few probate book records, some of them will abstracts, some guardian petitions. LOTS of names, dates of death, widow's names, etc. Oh, I almost forgot, there are now some Independence county marriages online, too. Not a whole lot at present, but we're getting there! As soon as I get the 1840 census completed tomorrow (and quit wandering round the house muttering, "One, zero, zero, zero, one, zero, one...") I will start adding more submissions from site visitors.
