    3. Thank you very much for the quick response. William W. McCarty is the probable brother to the Red McCarty we were looking for. Julian is the son of William W. McCarty. Now we will have to look elsewhere for Red and Sarah McCarty family.. We had hoped he would be in the same location as his brother. Is there anyone that has any other information on the McCarty Family? 1. Re: [AR IND.] LEWIS family of Arkansas, Missouri
    2. I don't have anything specifically on your Lewis line, but I have several lines from Madison Co Tennessee that moved to this area of ARk., and had some Lewis' marry into collaterol lines I'm researching. I have seen many Lewis in researching my lines ( Baker, Luckey, Mason, Piercy) and if I were you I'd look at some Madison Co Tenn census to see if you could find a match. My Luckey's were on the 1860 Census of Ind co, in Curia post office,- they moved there about 1857/8. After the father died in 1867 they moved back to Madison Co. Susan Baker Luckey took her 9 children back in a covered wagon. Her sister Jane Baker Lewis and her husband John B. Lewis never had children, but they helped her raise her children. Hoep this helps. 3. I'm not sure but its probable that he had a sister named Catherine. The McGuire brothers came from NC through MO to AR. While in St. Louis area ER married a Catherine Lewis then they moved to Batesville, Independence County, AR (in the early 1840's). There is an online bio for his son William L. McGuire that mentions this. (thru usgenweb.com). If you want what I have so far let me know off list and I'll send it later. :) Hope this helps some. ===== Crystal Wallace mailto:[email protected] alt mailto:[email protected] Researching: EARP(TN-MO),HARMON-CRUMP-GRINDSTAFF-SAPP-WREN(MO),MCGUIRE(NC-MO-ARK-TX),WALLACE(ILL-MO),ALLEN-BUCK-WOODBURY(ME),LOVE(NY-MI),ISTED(NY or MI),DECKER(TN-MO),JARBOE(KS-TX-MO),MOORE(TN),MORRISON(NE),HUNTER(PA-OH), HEISLER, MYERS(IL-NE), GILSON(NE), STAAL(NE), DRAPER ...more to follow :) :) :) __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? 1. [AR IND.] LEWIS family of Arkansas, Missouri
    2. Looking for information on John Grover Lewis, married to Dora Alice Mosely. John was born May 31, 1890, died November 14, 1964. Alice was born March 25, 1890, died April 2, 1940. Both are buried in the Monett Memorial Cemetery in Monett, AR. Their son, my grandfather, Aubrey C. Lewis, was born in Batesville in 1918. Other children were Estelle, Elvie, Pearl, Norma Jane, Juanita, J.W., George Albert (born 1911 in Cave City, AR). There are at least two other daughters. According to John's obituary, he had a sister, a Mrs. L.A. Gilmore living in Batesville, AR in 1964, and a brother Albert M. Lewis who was living in Holdenville, Hughes County, Oklahoma at that time. John also had a sister named Anna Belle, who died in the 1920's. It's possible that John was born in Agnos, Fulton county, AR, and that his parents names were George W. Lewis and Elvie Tucker. George Albert Lewis married Lena Maude Washburn. they lived in St. Louis, MO, and he passed away in Scott Co, Missouri in 1973. Norma Jane and J.W. Lewis eventually ended up in Arlington, TX. Elvie married Henry Mayo and lived in St. Louis, MO. Any information on this family would be greatly appreciated. My grandfather passed away in 1989, and no one in the family seems to know much about the Lewis relatives and ancestors. I would be very happy to hear from any descendents of this branch of the Lewis family. Thanks, Georgiana

    3. just type the person/family you are looking for with as much info as you can - for example I am looking for William L. McGuire, b about 1830, NC moved to ARK sometime in the 40's. Married to ?? Had children?? Just make sure that you give more than names. Even names you think are uncommon may not be (I've found quite a few Shadrach's for example sheesh). LOL. So it helps to have a time and place reference. Also make your subject line similar - Wm McGuire 1850's NC to ARK. Hope this helps. Good luck :) ===== Crystal Wallace mailto:[email protected] alt mailto:[email protected] Researching: EARP(TN-MO),HARMON-CRUMP-GRINDSTAFF-SAPP-WREN(MO),MCGUIRE(NC-MO-ARK-TX),WALLACE(ILL-MO),ALLEN-BUCK-WOODBURY(ME),LOVE(NY-MI),ISTED(NY or MI),DECKER(TN-MO),JARBOE(KS-TX-MO),MOORE(TN),MORRISON(NE),HUNTER(PA-OH), HEISLER, MYERS(IL-NE), GILSON(NE), STAAL(NE), DRAPER ...more to follow :) :) :) __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
