You might know my mom, Katie Lane. I've heard her mention the Wherrys, probably in connection with your grandmother. I don't think I have much in my notes concerning the Wherry family, but I'll take a look and see what I might have for you. The Fetzers and Slaydens can be traced back pretty far. Scott

I have only been able to find Albert and Mollie on the 1920 census for Jackson Co., AR living in Bird Township with two of their younger children: Edna, age 17, and Lesley, age 14. I believe that Haryl and Fairyl ANDERSON (who own a barbershop in Southside Batesville) are descendants of Albert and Mollie somehow but haven't gotten to speak to them yet about their descendancy. If anyone has any information on this ANDERSON family, I would appreciate the help. Thanks, Bonnie Graves

Surnames: Brock Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/QV.2ADI/598.1 Message Board Post: Could use some more info... Exactly where in the census have you found Jeff Brock? Did the census list his parents' birth states? Were they consistent across more than one census? Be warned that Ancestry's index for 1870 Independence County, Arkansas is relatively poor compared to some of their other indices. Names are frequently missing or misspelled in transcription, making it difficult to find people in that year. There may well not exist any birth record as such for your Jeff Brock but, with knowledge of the parents' origins, you have a good chance of locating the family in 1880 and/or 1870.
