Co., AR, the following family was living there: Earnest Bowman 44 Berdie Bowman 44 May Bowman 12 Pauline Bowman 4 Willard Hatfield 23 Opal Hatfield 21 Berdie has been spelled differet ways (Birdie, Birda, Berda, etc.) but she is the daughter of Thomas and Ida (Lassiter) Stafford of Ind. Co., AR (1890-?). Berdie was married once before to an unknown HATFIELD and Willard and Opal are hers by that previous marriage. Mr. HATFIELD died before the 1910 census for Jackson Co., AR. I am looking for more information on Berdie Bowman and her children, Bertha May and Pauline BOWMAN, and Willard and Opal HATFIELD. Author: bgraves34 Surnames: Stafford, Hatfield, Lassiter, Holmes, Lindsey Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.arkansas.counties.independence/1239.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Hello All, I wanted to add the following info to my query on here about the Stafford family. 10/03/1919 LINDSEY, LOUIS STAFFORD, MINNIE I-635 Jackson Co., AR Marriage Records. The 1920 census shows Louis and Minnie living in Logan, Ind. Co., AR with his parents, William C. and Sarah Lindsey. No children yet. I also found the following marriages in Jackson Co., AR: 12/28/1917 HOLMES, ROLAND STAFFORD, EULAH I-328 10/07/1917 STAFFORD, GEORGE MCPHERSON, ELLA I-282 The January 1920 Census for White River, Ind. Co., AR lists: Holmes, Rollen age 18 Holmes, Eulah age 19 Holmes, Dorr 4 months Living next door to Eulah and Roland are: Stafford, Earl, head, wm, 24, Stafford, Maud, wife, wf, 22, Stafford, Alvin, son, wm, 7 months The actual page of this census states that it is Magness Twp. Ind. Co., AR. I am not sure why the Ancestry heading has it as White River as there is no mention of White River anywhere on the census page. In 1930, Earl and Maud and all of their children are listed as living in District 5, Cache, Woodruff Co., AR. I was not able to find any other census records for Louis and Minnie Lindsey, Roland and Eulah Holmes, or George and Ella Stafford. I am trying to find info and living descendants of these families. This is one of our missing LASSITER lines who we are trying to "bring back" into the family. Thank you for any and all help you might be able to give me on these lines.
